Privacy policy

Last Updated: 06 June 2026

Better Lending Solutions Pty Ltd ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and secure your personal information during direct consulting sessions, whether conducted at our Sydney office, via email, or through our digital booking and video conferencing platforms. We comply strictly with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

1. Scope of Our Services

We operate exclusively as a direct mortgage broker consulting business. All assessments and consultations are conducted by qualified internal brokers employed or contracted by Better Lending Solutions Pty Ltd. We are not a digital lead-generation aggregator or marketplace, and we do not sell, trade, or distribute client financial profiles to third-party marketing networks.

2. Consent Framework

We operate under a strict, consent-first policy.

Informed Consent: We collect and retain personal or financial data only after obtaining your clear, unambiguous consent during your consultation.

Right to Withdraw: You may withdraw your consent at any time. Upon revocation, your files will be securely deleted or de-identified, subject to statutory retention obligations imposed by ASIC and applicable financial service regulations.

3. Digital Consultations and Online Meetings

When you book and attend an online consultation, we use third-party software applications to facilitate the session. By booking an appointment, you consent to data processing by these platforms:

Scheduling (Calendly): We collect your name, email address, phone number, and any notes regarding your financial goals. Calendly processes this information securely to maintain your booking in our corporate calendars.

Video Conferencing (Zoom): Online meetings are hosted securely via Zoom. Video and audio feeds are transmitted securely to enable your face-to-face consultation with your broker. Financial documents, bank statements, or servicing calculators shared via screen-share are viewed live but are not captured or cached by Zoom. We do not record Zoom sessions without your separate, explicit verbal or written consent provided at the session's start. If recording is mutually agreed upon, the file is saved to an encrypted, restricted local directory and never stored on public cloud servers.

3a. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure website functionality and analyse web traffic.

Essential Cookies: These enable secure site navigation and access to booking platforms.

Analytics and Performance Cookies: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about visitor interactions with our site to improve user experience.

Managing Cookies: You may configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. However, disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use our online scheduling tools.

4. Information Collected During Consultation

To provide professional mortgage and finance consulting, your broker may request:

Identity and Contact Data: Full name, phone number, physical address, email address, and government identification.

Financial Profiles: Employment status, income sources, living expenses, existing liabilities, assets, and borrowing objectives.

5. Data Storage, Security, and Cross-Border Transfers

Your data is protected through robust security controls. Information is stored on secure local workstations or Australian-hosted cloud storage environments using end-to-end encryption and multi-factor authentication. Access to your financial information is restricted to the internal broker assigned to your file.

Cross-Border Disclosures: Although your consulting data remains in Australia, platforms such as Calendly and Zoom may transmit or store metadata (including your email, name, and meeting times) on secure overseas servers, primarily in the United States. These providers maintain enterprise-grade data security frameworks.

6. Third-Party Disclosures

Third-party data sharing is limited. Information is transferred to external entities (such as credit providers, banks, or property valuers) only after:

Your broker identifies a suitable loan solution for your circumstances.

You decide to proceed with an active mortgage application.

You execute a separate Privacy Declaration and Lender Consent Form.

7. Access, Corrections, and Enquiries

You may request access to information your broker holds about you or request corrections to outdated details. For data requests or to withdraw your data storage consent, contact our compliance team:
